My comment is #1 and it is neither truly stupid nor uninformed. It is just a statement of my preference. I hate you, Dr. Doom. You are just mean. Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you. Go to hell. But I agree that comments #2 and #3 may be truly stupid and uninformed. But fuck you and go to hell anyway, you mean commenter (note spelling). And get to sleep. You stay up too late. That is probably why you are so mean. Did I mention fuck you?

I enjoyed the interview. I recently started reading this guy’s blog and wasn’t familiar with him prior to that. He makes a lot of sense and reminds me that there are sane Americans out there. In England we mostly get to see the crazies, unless we look hard enough.

Dennis should start the much overdue revolution.

Doug, there, you got your answer from dave. BTW, I enjoyed reading the interview and this introduction to Dennis. I think he’s very insightful. I’m a registered Democrat, and usually vote with them simply because I abhor most things the Republicans stand for, and the fact that they are hypocritical most of the time. I’ll be interested to learn more about Dennis’ book on the “Savage Mules” and maybe pick up a copy.

hi doug,

i’m doom’s friend, i guess. anyhoo, it’s been my opinion, for a long time, that voting is not only silly, but harmful, in that it encourages and legitimizes the actions of a bunch of real creeps. dennis seems to echo this opion.

bloggers and their various follow up commenters are no more silly than anyone else, generally speaking.

I was just directed to this interview with dennis by a friend. I don’t know if dennis is really insightful or just another paranoid blogger. Comments and commentary are a lot like freedom of speech and other democratic (small d) ideals. Not allowing comments just puts another question mark by dennis IMHO. All the comments here (n=3) state truly stupid and uninformed facts about comments and commentors. Yes, there are trolls and yes there are circle jerks, yes it is messy, just like countries and smaller groups that attempt to practice some form of democracy.

dennis and these commenters should perhaps not be taken too seriously. Too bad, because life and democracy are serious matters. Just sayin.

The comments threads at most heavily-trafficked blogs are either troll-fests or circle jerks.

So I like that Dennis doesn’t “allow” comments as well.
